Animal Sanctuary 

  The Lak’ech Animal Sanctuary provides for the daily and long-term holistic care and feeding costs of the “animal therapists” at Lak'ech EcoLodge and Ranch.  All of our animals pictured in the Animal Album were abandoned, abused or neglected so they really appreciate the love that they receive from children and visitors.  They especially appreciate donations of organic vegetables, fruit, grain and hay.

All of our animals are carefully screened before they are accepted into the Sanctuary.  We are currently NOT accepting other animals.

Like all of us, our animals need to eat, too so they can continue to share their love and kisses with children and visitors.  Please support the Lak’ech Animal Sanctuary with your donations.  

$10       Buys 20 lbs. or organic barley or oats

$20       Buys 20 kg. Alfalfa cubes

$75       Buys 1 round bale of hay, enough to feed 3 horses OR 6 llamas OR 5 sheep and 3 alpacas  PER MONTH

$100     Pays for annual shearing of 3 alpacas, 5 sheep, and 3 llamas

$500     Pays for new water lines to the back pasture

$1,000  Pays for fencing posts and wire to fence the back pasture for the horses and allows us to better rotate pasture where drought occurs
